Skippy Strikes Again

In a new, updated and easier to read format, our old friend Skippy has decided once again that he knows all about everything.

To listen to or read the ramblings of someone that never was "inside the circle" in the first place is amusing. But when they begin pontificating on what is happening inside, it's even more amusing.

I was impressed by Skippy's determination, though, when he declared that, "it should be noted, however, that many candidates for lesser offices who were supported by Missourians for Smart Growth won their races in both elections."

Here's the list, by the way:

Senator

Missouri 2nd District -- Wayne J. Henke

St. Charles County Executive -- Steve Ehlmann

County Council

District 1 -- Joe Cronin

District 5 -- Joe McCulloch

District 7 -- John White

State Representative

District 12 -- Doug Funderburk

District 14 -- Joe Smith

District 15 -- Tom Green

District 16 -- Ed Applebaum

District 17 -- Kenny Biermann

District 19 -- Cynthia Davis

Let's look at who DID win, though:

Joe McCulloch and John White for St. Charles County Council. I highly doubt Joe knew anything about it, let alone his constituents. John White knows Skippy, but you don't see them in the same room together in public.

Steve Ehlmann - ditto. Not to mention a shoo-in.

Doug Funderburk, Joe Smith and Cynthia Davis. Also all with opponents that just didn't stand a chance. It may have felt good for Skippy to endorse these three, but these three didn't know or didn't care.

This slate of candidates represents a list of people who, for the most part, didn't even know they were on the list. Some candidates, like Pat Riley, who was endorsed for St. Charles County Sheriff in the primary, asked to be removed when they found they were there. In all of these candidates' situations, none of them either sought the endorsement of Skippy's little band of merry people, or cared.

I'm all for citizens' groups making a difference within their communities, but what exactly IS Skippy's community, here?
