Why Things Are Wrong In America

This article pretty well spells it out.

We have a generation of young people who believe it is okay to express themselves in Playboy magazine as members of the military, while wearing their military uniforms, because we have an ACLU that will defend them.

I expect someone will try to challenge the Air Force on their decision to relieve Ms. Manhart from her duties, and it will cost the United States a lot of money and bad publicity to defend their prompt, correct decision.

Unfortunately, pop culture has been bastardized by television programs that air on MTV, the proliferation of Girls Gone Wild videos and the mere idea that the expression of individualism reaches across the boundaries of appropriate military conduct.

Good riddance, Ms. Manhart. Our military doesn't need people like you representing it.

Idiots To Vote In New Jersey? I Thought They Already Were!

Okay, so Senate President Richard Codey has filed a bill removing certain words from voting regulations in New Jersey.

Currently the language reads, "no idiot or insane person should enjoy the right of suffrage..." and he is proposing it be changed to, "a person who has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to lack the capacity to understand the act of voting."

Now, this brings up a good argument. It is widely known that many states already allow idiots to vote, hence Senators Hillary Clinton (NY) or Ted Kennedy (MA).

And then there's old Barney Fag ... oops, I mean Barney Frank. He recently made some rather derogatory statements about the hurricane rebuilding efforts in Louisiana that would have gotten any republican lynched.

Good old Barney referred to Hurricane Katrina as having "cleansed" New Orleans "for the republicans," so that they might enjoy seeing a more white Louisiana.

Conservative black groups are calling him on it, but when you look to the major media to cover it, all you hear is the chirping of crickets.

I suppose it truly is fact that Massachusetts voters have been letting idiots vote for years -- it's only fitting that New Jersey catch up.

Dems Break Promise in First Week!

I loved this bit of information from the Drudge Report.

It's not a site I normally (ever) view, but when I learned of this earlier today, this site was given as the source.

DEM VOW ALREADY BROKEN: HOUSE SETS 4-DAY WORK WEEK
Sun Jan 07 2007 15:03:38 ET

Democrats ran to expand the work week in the House to 5 days.

But guess how long that lasted?

Not even one week!

"Culture Shock on Capitol Hill: House to Work 5 Days a Week" front-paged the WASHINGTON POST in December.

Majority leader Steny Hoyer said members of the House will be expected in the Capitol for votes each week by 6:30 p.m. Monday and will finish their business about 2 p.m. Friday.

Explained the POST: "Forget the minimum wage. Or outsourcing jobs overseas. The labor issue most on the minds of members of Congress yesterday was their own: They will have to work five days a week starting in January."

But on the morning after the night before, on the first full week of the new congress, Hoyer has pulled back from his vow!

A Hoyer press release obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT boldly declares: "Monday, January 8, 2007: The House is not in session."

Hill sources claim The House is taking Monday 'off' this week, because of the championship football game between Ohio State and the University of Florida.

And, of course, the following Monday is the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

100 hours...starting...soon

An Activist Government In Illinois

Coming back from his rousing 49% (note, this is less than 50%) victory in November, Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich has determined that his stellar vote count was a demand for an "activist government," as he calls it.

Blagojevich has decided that he has, "made our state government smaller, more efficient and fairer," during his first term, so now it is time to blow that all to hell and institute Universal Health Care throughout the entire state of Illinois.

Blagojevich was elected to a second term with less than 50 percent of the vote, but he claimed the victory "as a mandate for action" on improving schools, helping small business grow and improving health care. (stolen from Post Dispatch article)

I find it really amusing to think that a less than 50% victory equals selling your soul for Socialism.

Illinois, home of the Daley machine, strip bars, rampant corruption and Mrs. O'Leary's cow, comes to the plate as a savior of the people? Doesn't Blagojevich realize that this maneuver will cause throngs of people to move to his state in order to take advantage of free health care? Hey, maybe then he can get enough there to kick out that old term limit law and be the NEXT governor of Illinois! If he plays his cards right and takes over the casinos like he wants and provides health care to all those illegals in his state, he can be President of Illinois!

Hopefully, the good people of our neighboring state will have the wherewithall to stop the governor from destroying his state's economy further.

In Which Direction Did You Want to Go?

So, the democrats were launched back into power by promising a new direction for America.

I'm curious about this, since the economy has been booming, and all economic indicators show that we're on the right path.

Read this below:

The Democrats promise; "A New Direction For America"

The stock market is at an all-time high and America's 401K's are back. A
new direction from there means, what?

Unemployment is at 25-year lows. A new direction from there means, what?

Oil prices are stabilizing, A new direction from there means, what?

Taxes are at 20 year lows. A new direction from there means, what?

Federal tax revenues are at all-time highs. A new direction from there
means, what?

The Federal deficit is down almost 50%, just as predicted over last
year. A new direction from there means. what?

Home valuations are up 200% over the past 3.5 years. A new direction
from there means, what?

Inflation is in check, hovering at 20-year lows. A new direction from
there means, what?

Not a single terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11/01. A new direction from there means, what?

Osama bin Laden is living under a rock in a dark cave, having not surfaced in years, if he's alive at all, while 95% of Al Queda's top dogs are either dead or in custody and cooperating with US Intel. A new direction from there means, what?

Several major terrorist attacks already thwarted by US and British Intel, including the recent planned attack involving 10 Jumbo Jets being exploded in midair over major US cities in order to celebrate the anniversary of the 9/11/01 attacks.

Just as President Bush foretold us on a number of occasions, Iraq was to be made "ground zero" for the war on terrorism -- and just as President Bush said they would, terrorist cells from all over the region are arriving from the shadows of their hiding places and flooding into Iraq in order to get their faces blown off by US Marines rather than boarding planes and heading to the United States to wage war on us here.

A new direction means, what?

Now let me see, do I have this right?

Can we expect:

The economy to go South

Illegals to go North

Taxes to go Up

Employment to go Down

Terrorism to come In

Tax breaks to go Out

Social Security to go Away

Health Care to go the same way gas prices have gone

But what the heck!

I can gain comfort by knowing that Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Edward Kennedy,Howard Dean, Harry Reid and Barack Obama have worked hard to create a comprehensive National Security Plan, Health Care Plan, Immigration Reform Plan, Gay Rights Plan, Same Sex Marriage Plan, Abortion On Demand Plan, Tolerance of Everyone and Everything Plan, How to Return all Troops to the US in The Next Six Months Plan, A Get Tough Plan (adapted from the French Plan by the same name) and a How Everyone Can Become as Wealthy as We Are Plan.

I forgot the: No More Katrina Storm Plan.

Now I know why I feel good after the elections; I am going to be able to sleep so much better at night knowing these dedicated politicians are thinking of me and my welfare.
