Ever Wonder Why We Distrust "Progressives?"

This website offers a pretty sound answer as to why "progressives" are looked down upon by people like myself and others.

Imagine this one -- "progressives" suggesting that everyone buy their gas at Citgo, a wholly owned subsidiary of government corporation of the nation of Venezuela, in order to protest the energy policies of the Bush administration!


Let's all remember how this works -- Venezuelan Hugo Chavez is elected, and immediately starts traveling the world to places like North Korea, Iran, Syria ... all sworn enemies of the United States, in an effort to win votes to place him as a member of the United Nations Security Council. He announces open trade lines with Iran, and goes to the U.N. and refers to President George Bush as the devil, which is met with applause by the aforementioned nations.

Chavez vows to end the rule of America as a world power, preferring instead to have countries like his own and the other uglies in power.

The question I have is -- what must happen in order for the United States to lose its position as the one true super power in the world? Are you prepared to accept it, because I am not!

Now, this so-called "progressive" organization in Maine suggests that feeding Chavez is the way to successfully send a message to Bush that you don't like his policies.

Might I suggest another method: with all due respect to local businessman Roy Thoele, it is time for Americans to avoid, at all costs, buying their gasoline from Citgo. These purchases just fuel the fire and add to this man's opportunity to do damage to the United States of America, providing him with a chance to change us in the way he wants us changed.

Make no mistake about it -- although he has yet to act upon his words, everything he has said makes him a terrorist. No more, no less. And Hugo Chavez is attempting, in just a short period of time, to put himself on top of the world's list of an anti-America agenda in the United Nations.

If you haven't figured out yet that terrorists want us all dead, just because we're Americans, it is time for you to crawl out from under your rock.
